Hiya! I'm Jackson, a one-year-old German Shepherd mix. My rescue story starts at the Rutherford County Animal Shelter when I was just 8 weeks old. I was dumped with my two brothers in the drop box at the shelter with no note. It was cold and dirty, and a lot of the other dogs were getting sick. We were in a run with a lot of other puppies, and soon it was time for us all to be put to sleep. But, a rescue came and took me, my two brothers, and one little girl from another litter. None of the other puppies made it... We went to the vet and got neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Our foster mom gave us some heartworm medicine so we don't have to worry about pesky heartworms. It wasn't long until I found a great home! But, they decided two puppies and four kids was a bit too much to handle, and they sent me back. So, now I'm back at a foster home. I'm having fun and all, but it doesn't even compare to a forever home. I am generally a good boy: I get along with other dogs, but not so much with cats, I love children, and really my only fault is chewing. (Hey, I'm a puppy!) I am housetrained and leashtrained. I need a refresher course on cratetraining, but I've done it before so it's not hard.
