To learn more about our animals and our adoption policy visit our website at www.missallisrescue.org Toffee is a beautiful Great Pyrenees that came into rescue with her brother, Casanova, just recently (June, 2009). While close to emaciation and having a poor coat, she is still quite happy and playful. She is FULL of kisses, and loves you to provide her with even the smallest amount of love. Toffee is super affectionate and loves to be around her people and the dogs she loves. She constantly wears a smile on her face, and never meets a stranger. She is working on housetraining, does well in a crate, and enjoys vet visits since she gets so much attention. :) Her favorite game is rolling over on her back so that you'll rub her belly...she LOVES this! Toffee will need an experienced owner, for she has some food aggression issues. Unfortunately, her and her brother were starved, almost to death, and food is of great value. She is learning that she will not starve to death now, and that there is no need to protect her bowl. We are working on this with her, and she's making slow progress, but her new home will have to understand that this is something that they may need to continue working with. As a result, she will not be placed in a home with any children. Since Toffee is so exceptionally loving in any other way, both with those she's familiar with and those she just meets, and is agreeable to anything else without problems, we feel that she can get past the food aggression. Toffee is a beautiful girl with a gorgeous smile that has come from a neglected life to one filled with love. She is blossoming and giving everyone kisses, and we want to make sure she continues to thrive. If you are interested in learning more about Toffee, just let us know!
