Great Pyrenees - Extra Large - Young - Male - Dog - Casanova!

Casanova is a 1 1/2yr old Great Pyrenees that just recently came into our program (July, 2009). He is a very handsome fella, and he's most unique in the fact that he has a gorgeous heart on his head! Indeed! It's absolutely perfect, and without doubt describes his own sweet heart. Casanova and his sister Toffee came to us together. Both were in poor shape, but Casanova, poor fella, was the worst. He is emaciated at 80lbs, and you can feel every bone on his body (could see them if he didn't have hair!). He is an extra large boy, so his weight should be well over 100lbs. His skin wasn't in great shape either, but it's definitely improved. At this point Casanova is all legs and head, but he'll eventually fill out. It will take a while to get him in tip top shape, but once he gets some weight on from good food, he'll be absolutely stunning! Casanova is most handsome, but he is a bit of a silly little boy, acting like an overgrown puppy. He loves to play and swat you with that funny "Pyr Paw." You'll often find him romping around with his foster brothers and sisters, and he feels a bit lost without them. As a result, Casanova would do best in a home with another dog. He has done well with cats, has done okay so far in a crate, and he is working on housetraining. He is very attached to his sister, but has learned that there are friends and playmates in other animals, as well. Casanova is a bit shy at first when he meets people, but he quickly warms up and gives hugs. He likes to dance around when he's happy to see you, and he'll show you that he's unquestionably thrilled that you are there with him. He has a very kind heart, despite his negligent background, and will provide you with a great deal of love. Casanova isn't quite ready, as we would like to get some weight gain on him prior to his adoption. However, if you'd like to learn more about him, just let us know!
