Newfoundland Dog - Large - Adult - Male - Dog - AbraHAM
AbraHAM is a sweet boy that came from an abuse case. He came to us emaciated, his coat in horrific condition, and heartworm positive. He has put on weight, his coat looks beautiful, and he was just treated for heartworms. Despite all of misfortune, he still smiles all day long, plays hard, and loves to romp around with his buddies. It has not depressed him in the slightest! AbraHAM is a comical boy, always smiling his goofy smile, romping around as if he hasn't a care in the world, and loving life now that he can play and have a good time. We stress the "HAM" in his name because he's just that...a big ham! He's a humorous boy, making you laugh at his zest for life. He does not, however, love cats, and as a result he cannot have a cat in his forever home, and needs to be controlled if one is near. AbraHAM is a very large, energetic, and strong dog. Due to his past, he has had no training or instruction, and sadly, he was probably tied up or confined to a very small area. As a result, he is very energetic when he's excited. although he does calm down and just "hangs out" with you. He has really made progress with his manners, and we are very proud of him. It would be best, however, for him to have an experienced owner for his forever home. Proper training and consistency will be a great help to him, as he loves to please and is eager to learn, while thriving on any attention that he receives. He actually enjoys going to the veterinarian because he thinks the attention from everyone is great! AbraHAM will make a wonderful pet for someone who is as committed to him as he will be to his forever family.
